Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) celebrated the Flag Day, in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to raise the UAE flag in front of the federal and local government buildings in the various emirates of the country.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI raised the UAE flag Thursday in front of the main entrance of the chamber while playing the national anthem of the UAE, in the presence of the members of the board of directors of the SCCI,  Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of the Chamber, employees, and a group of senior officials in the business community in Sharjah.

Congratulating the UAE leadership, Rulers of the Emirates, crown princes and their deputies, Abdullah Sultan Al Owais said that the Flag Day embodies values of strength, solidarity, cohesion, loftiness and pride.

Al Owais added: “We renew our pledge to His Highness and to the UAE to remain loyal soldiers at the heart of one man, making achievements in the march of renaissance and development, so that the flag of the homeland remains a source of our pride and a symbol of the strength of our unity.”

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi said the Flag Day is a national occasion in which the people of the Emirates take pride and renew determination to follow the path of UAE wise leadership so that the flag of the country and the symbol of unity remains high and lofty among nations, reflecting the UAE’s global position as a model for development, renaissance and construction.
