Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS) celebrated the Flag Day, joining the UAE’s celebrations of this precious national occasion, by raising the flag at the main entrance of the department, with the participation of a group of department managers, employees and clients.
On this occasion, Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of the SDTPS, said that the United Arab Emirates celebrates today one of its most important national days, which is the "Flag Day", a symbol of unity, coexistence, peace and national sovereignty.
He added that on this blessed day, we recall together the efforts of the founding fathers who laid the foundations of our strong state, under the leadership of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his brothers, the honourable rulers of the Emirates. The UAE has now become a regional and global symbol of coexistence, equality and human cooperation.
He continued that the UAE flag will remain a witness to the history written by its loyal sons with their blood and souls, a symbol of cohesion and social coexistence, and a source of pride and love.
