Sharjah24: The Sharjah Municipality (SM) announced that more than 474 people have been given permission to use the marinas. This is part of their ongoing work to improve the cultural and visual appeal of the city by giving people services.
Sharjah's Director General, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, has announced that the city has designated four berth-using locations within the city: Al Khor, Jubail, Al Khan, and Al Mamzar. The city has made available, with permission from the city's Monitoring and Inspection Department, 253 parking spaces in these marinas. The local government has made an area available for recreational boats to dock in the Mamzar area, which is great for fishing and picnics.
He said that since the beginning of the year, the municipality has got rid of 34 wooden boats that were not being used. They did this by telling the owners that they needed to get rid of them and giving them plenty of time to fix them up and stop using them for anything other than what they were made for.
