Sharjah24: Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) has set 15 main requirements that must be met in the laundry and ironing shops, in order to ensure its safe practices, highlighting the need to ensure the shop’s compliance with these requirements, which guarantee public health and safety.
The municipality constantly works to organise periodic and sudden inspection visits to the laundry and ironing shops, ensuring to take all the administrative and legal measures against all shops that do not comply with the essential health standards and safety guidelines.
Commenting on this, Ruqaya Ibrahim, Head of the Health Control Department, confirmed that the municipality has carried out more than 3,000 inspection visits to washing and ironing shops, since the beginning of this year, ensuring their compliance with these requirements.
