3rd Jawhara Exhibition in Kalba attracts East Coast women

Sharjah24: Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC), Kalba Branch, raised the curtain on the 3rd edition of the “Jawharah” exhibition targeting women and society. The exhibition received visitors for a whole week during the period from 5 to 11 October, with the participation of many women, entrepreneurs, and productive families, in addition to the facilities and centers of SLC branches.
In this context, Moza Al Weshahi, director of SLC, Kalba branch, said, “The exhibition is a part of the branch’s activities plan to enhance its successes in serving women and empower participants to make an influential mark in the world of free business, starting with small home projects. It also aims at creating a diverse forum that attracts various visitors and contributes to supporting the accelerated economic movement in the Emirate of Sharjah, especially in the cities of the east coast, including the richness of events and activity in the tourist turnout”.

"The exhibition, in its third successful appearance at the branch's headquarters, witnessed a remarkable turnout by the audience exceeding 1,500 visitors, who were keen to attend the event daily for 7 days from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Its halls included a wide range of exhibits that met the needs of women and provided them a golden opportunity to benefit from the diverse assortment of products in the field of fashion, beauty and everyday life in general”, she added.

Al-Weshahi pointed out that the pavilions participating in the exhibition presented products that included classic collections and contemporary creations made by professional female designers in designing women's fashion for various occasions and ages, such as dresses, jellabiya, kaftans, as well as abayas, in addition to children's and girls' clothing, as well as accessories, perfumes and incense products, as well as cosmetics, skin care products, body and hair care, household items and various souvenirs.

Regarding the participation of the facilities of the SLC’s branches in the exhibition, she mentioned that Marasi Restaurant provided a variety of meals and foods prepared daily for the event’s visitors. In addition, the participation of AlHamriyah Joori Beauty Center excelled by displaying hair and skin care products. The Ibdaa’ Centres had a remarkable presence, as the products and handicrafts provided by Ibdaa’ Centre in the Kalba branch had been well received by the public. Al-Batayeh Ibdaa’ Centre also presented elegant and beautiful prayer clothes and dresses. As for Dibba Al-Hisn Ibdaa’ Centre, its sales included displaying household items such as kitchen equipment, and accessories such as handicrafts and others. The sales of Ibdaa’ Centre in Wadi Al-Helo branch were varied to include impressive assortment of handmade cups with attractive artistic designs, and prayer clothes, in addition to displaying Talah’s educational brochures and educational workshop boxes. Similarly, the Kalba Talah program presented a series of workshops, cinema shows, and interesting face painting sessions for children in order to exploit their time with useful and safe entertainment programs while mothers are busy shopping.

The director of the Kalba branch explained that the exhibition, year after year, maintains its position as a first platform and destination in the region to attract businesswomen, productive families, existing and new home projects whose fields varied in food, fashion, gifts, heritage products, accessories, stationery and others, to form an important step for the transition of these small projects to a higher level of success and development in the future inside and outside Sharjah.

Al Weshahi thanked the elite sponsors and supporters of the exhibition and their active efforts in making the event successful, including Florence Group, Sajida Group, Cosmomed Medical Center, Al Kadi Medical Center, Alfa Medical Center, a number of women’s salons, jewelry and gold stores, and a number of other parties.

She pointed out that, “The exhibition, with its various events and activities, coincided with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month "Pink October". Accordingly, SLC supports public awareness efforts for women on the importance and necessity of conducting early detection of breast cancer”. “The exhibition contributes to supporting breast cancer patients through allocating a portion of its proceeds to them. This aims at enhancing the efforts exerted in helping and instilling hope in these patients and their families for a normal life and enabling them to overcome the challenges they face”, she added.

It is noteworthy that the Jawharah exhibition witnessed various daily competitions and raffles for many prizes and giveaways for visitors and participants.
