Sharjah 24: Collage Talent Centre of Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) has announced that the submission for the "Noon Arts Award" in the painting and photography categories is now open to all citizens and residents of the UAE female artists. The theme of this year's session is "Then and Now".
The award's theme represents the evolution of human ideas and behaviors throughout time. The competition is open to female artists 18 years & above. The artwork will be evaluated based on the artist's interpretation of the award's theme, as well as the skills it demonstrates and reflects. This award enables participants to engage in cultural exchange through their artistic reflection. Participants will have the opportunity to register and submit their artwork until the end of September.
Khawla Al Serkal, Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC), encouraged female artists of all nationalities to participate in this fifth & new edition of the award, as it is considered an important creative platform to express themselves in an innovative manner, to receive artistic support, and showcase their talents to a largescale audience. "The award aims to inspire artistic talent, as its launch demonstrates the club's dedication to achieving its goals of creating an inspiring environment that encourages all female artists to participate actively, thereby enhancing the Emirate's position as a creative hub for talents and contributing to the achievement of Sharjah Cultural Objectives."
In November, nominated participants and award winners will have the opportunity to exhibit their artworks to the public at Noon Art Gallery at Collage Talent Center for three days, while the award categories' first and second place winners will receive cash prizes.
Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) would like to invite all artists interested in participating to register at www.slc.ae. For more information, please call 065067733.
