Sharjah 24: The Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council organised, on Saturday, an event to mark World Teachers' Day themed “The teacher is a symbol of loyalty”.
Mohammed Rashid Rashoud, Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council, confirmed that the celebration of World Teachers’ Day comes in recognition of teachers’ role and giving in society, in addition to discussing the latest developments and research in the field of education.
The event, which was held at the Dibba Al Hisn Cultural Centre, saw a large crowd of officials and representatives of government departments, workers in the education sector, and students’ parents.
Exclusively speaking to “Sharjah 24” about the event, Rashoud said that the celebration included an educational forum entitled "Together for Children", with the participation of a group of specialists in the field of education.
He explained that the forum dealt with several research papers that focused on the role of parents in guiding their children towards education, modern teaching methods that are in line with the era, and the level of reading and writing performance of students during basic education stage.
Rashoud added that the celebration aimed to shed light on the latest educational studies and research, as well as honouring a group of senior teachers who have positively influenced the educational process and made considerable achievements in the educational filed in the city of Dibba Al Hisn.
