Sharjah 24: Lieutenant-Colonel Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Owais, Deputy Director of the Training Department at the Sharjah Police Science Academy, chaired, on Monday, at Al Riyada Hall at the Sharjah Police (SP) Club, the meeting of the Sports Strategy Development Team.

This came in the presence of Major Ahmed Mubarak Al Junaibi, Head of the Sports and Social Activities Department, and a number of members of the Sports Excellence Award team.

The meeting aims to review the most important developments in the sports field, searching for the best sports practices, and benefiting from the experiences that have been applied.

At the beginning of the meeting, Lt. Col. Ahmed Al Owais welcomed the attendees, expressing appreciation for the efforts made by the club’s sports staff, especially the sports initiatives that were implemented during the last period, which were remarkably well received by the SP’s staff and those who dealt with it.

The meeting discussed the objectives of the strategic plan, a proposal for a mechanism between the Ministry of Interior’s strategy and the security of quality of life 2020-2023 in the ministry. 

The meeting went over the new policies in the sports field, including the mechanism for developing technical performance, enhancing efficiency in sports, and applying frameworks for developing infrastructure, as well as reviewing the updated list of talented athletes. 

The meeting also reviewed an aspect of activating the sports digital platform and creating an updated sports database.
