Sharjah 24: The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) will participate in the activities of the 11th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) 2022 from 28-29 September, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
The forum will be attended by a group of experts and specialists in the field of media and government communication from inside and outside the country, to discuss the adoption of international best practices in the government communication sector. In addition to contributing to building a new system in government communication, that benefits government institutions and workers in the communication sector, not only in the UAE and the Arab world, but also in the world.

This year, the UAEU will participate in a number of discussion sessions on the most prominent trends and future vision of the creative industries, the future of media colleges, the impact of social media on education outcomes, how to employ the skills of students of media colleges, and the employee’s comprehensive role in achieving government communication strategies. In addition to discussing, the challenges that face the institutional communication in the country's universities, and ways of cooperation and development between the country's institutions and directors and officials of institutional communication in the country's universities, in addition to launching two innovative projects in the field of media during the forum.

On the sidelines of the forum, the university is organising the “University Challenge” in partnership with the IGCF, and the Sharjah Government Communication Award for the best initiative for future employees. 8 universities in the country will compete for the award, the winners of which will be announced during the closing day of the forum, and financial prizes have been allocated. For the winners of the first three places, an estimated value of 25,000 dirhams for the first place, 20,000 dirhams for the second place, and 15,000 dirhams for the third place.
