Sharjah 24: Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of FUNN and the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF), emphasised the importance of paying attention to the growing influence of cinema and all media arts in light of the intensity of film and drama production and the proliferation of various platforms that allow audiences to watch cinematic content that reflects cultural concepts and messages adopted by its producers.
The Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, according to the Director of the "Funn" Foundation, which is concerned with promoting and supporting media art for children and young people in the UAE, adopts cinematic works that include humanitarian messages and that instill in the hearts of children and youth cultural value and a means of forming awareness and developing taste.

She said that the new session of the festival, which will be held from October 10 to 15 under the patronage of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, will continue the festival's mission of choosing purposeful art and films that are good for children and young people.

Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi stressed that entertainment affects culture, which in turn affects development. She said that everyone should be interested in arts with a purpose. All parties involved in conveying the festival's message have a sincere commitment to influencing the culture of the next generation.
