Sharjah 24: Amna Al Hammadi, Director of the 'Tamkeen' Office in the Sharjah Social Service Department (SSSD), stated that the activities of the first edition of the employment fair held at the Sheraton Sharjah Hotel were launched.
She added that the fair targets beneficiaries of social benefits, with the aim of providing them with job opportunities that enable them to earn the appropriate standard of living.
She maintained that SSSD is preparing to provide a series of services to support its affiliates who are eligible for social benefits, through various methods, one of the most prominent of these services is the organisation of the first employment fair of its kind in the Emirate of Sharjah, which aims to provide job opportunities from private institutions that support social responsibility.
She highlighted, in statements to “Sharjah 24”, that the target groups in the fair are those who are registered in the SSSD and are less than 45 years old and are able to work in various sectors, noting that many private companies that specialise in various and different sectors such as the banking sectors have been contacted. In addition to the medical sector and the contracting and construction sector.
She confirmed that the first employment fair is held in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the upcoming series of fairs will be held in various cities of the Emirate in the central and eastern regions during 2023.
Concluding her statement, she thanked and appreciated the supporting parties and participating in the fair and allocating time to meet the beneficiaries and give them opportunities, and extended an open invitation to all companies located in the central and eastern regions to support the beneficiaries and participate in the upcoming fairs, by contacting SSSD’s 'Tamkeen' Office at any time.
