Sports sector developments and future plans

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the latest developments in the sports sector in Al Dhafra and the Council’s plans to enhance sports participation, expand community engagement, and develop sports facilities and infrastructure to promote health, quality of life, and an integrated sports environment.

Sports initiatives, community participation, and quality of life

The presentation also reviewed current sports projects, event calendars, and community programmes targeting various segments of society, including youth, seniors, and people of determination, as well as talent development initiatives and the role of sports in supporting the Year of Community and strengthening family participation and social cohesion.
