Sharjah24: The participants of the summer activity of the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club learned about the contents of the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization (SMIC) during a visit carried out by the club on Tuesday morning .
The visit was carried out in coordination and cooperation with the Sharjah Museums Authority to specialize within the activities of introducing museums and sites that constitute one of the important landmarks of the Emirate of Sharjah.
During the visit, the participants were briefed on the historic values of the Museum of Islamic Civilization and listened to a detailed explanation about the museum's holdings and its multiple pavilions, in which many rare antiquities and cultural treasures that abound in the Islamic world are displayed.
At the end of the tour, Abdullah Balajid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Cultural Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Club and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Summer Activities, praised the role of the Sharjah Authority in providing opportunities for people to brief on the contents of the museums of Sharjah.
