Sharjah 24: Disabled members of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled joined their non-disabled brothers for the summer activity programmes organised by the Technical Affairs and Gifted Care Committee, which include cultural, sporting, and social activities. The programmes will run until August 18 and feature a wide variety of activities.
Table tennis, basketball, badminton, table football, and PlayStation are just some of the sports featured on the show.
Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of A Thiqah Club for the Disabled, confirmed that the club's activities are based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to preserve young people and occupy their time in useful activities, instil teamwork, and develop their intellectual and mathematical skills.
