Sharjah 24: Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), announced that the Al Dhaid Date Festival, in its sixth edition, will kick off on July 21 at the Expo Al Dhaid, and will run until July 24.

Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the festival will include valuable prizes for participants, according to Al Awadi during a press conference held Tuesday to announce the details of the festival.

The Director General of SCCI, revealed that the festival comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, pointing out to “Sharjah 24” that new varieties of seasonal fruits within the festival's competitions will be on display.

Al Awadi added that the aim of the festival is to support farmers and farm owners in the country and the Central Region.
