Sharjah 24: The activities of the seventh edition of the Dates Festival, which will run until the end of next September, launched in Souq Al Jubail, where different kinds of local and external dates are displayed, sees an unprecedented turnout of visitors.
Speaking to “Sharjah 24”, Talal Mohamed, Director of Souq Al Jubail said that the festival covers 10 selling stands where different types of dates are exhibited along with new types that are displayed for the first time.
Taking into account that 20% of the date’s production is seen at the start of July while the rest appear at the end of the same month, exhibitors and visitors recommended that the festival’s days be extended, thus urging the Souq Al Jubail’s management to set a plan in this regard, Director of Souq Al Jubail said.
