Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” succeeded in passing the procedures of the periodic follow-up visit to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certificate after passing the audit phase on all work procedures followed by it, and ensuring that all conditions and requirements of the total quality system in its various departments are met. The scope of the application of this specification was also expanded to include Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurship "RUWAD", where the department passed the periodic review of the quality management system.
The report issued by the resident company and the audit results showed the full commitment of SEDD and RUWAD to the requirements of the administrative system compatible with the mentioned specification. This reflects its commitment to international quality standards and its keenness on continuous improvement in the levels and mechanisms of providing its services to all customers in accordance with the best international standards.
His Excellency Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, said that the Department is working to develop the emirate's economy through planning and providing distinguished services using qualified human cadres and advanced technical systems in accordance with the highest quality standards. Al Suwaidi pointed out that passing the periodic review of the ISO 9001:2015 certificate came after an extensive evaluation, which coincides with the Department's objectives in working to achieve sustainable economic development and quality in practices. In addition, added that the continuous follow-up to this certificate reflects and culminates the efforts made by the department to develop its procedures and simplify its services. This is done to attain SEDD’s strategic goals calling for adopting best practices in procedures and quality systems to develop performance, leading to a diversified and orderly economy.
Al Suwaidi pointed out that the scope of ISO 9001:2015 certificate has been expanded to include “RUWAD” Foundation, which emphasizes SEDD commitment to international quality standards and customer service. Also, Al Suwaidi stressed that the Department is determined to demonstrate its excellence in maintaining the highest international quality standards in all its sections, transactions and services.
Furthermore, Al Suwaidi pointed out that reviewing ISO certificate in quality management reflects its commitment to excellence in serving all customers in accordance with the best international practices. This fall within the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who calls for focusing on innovation and continuous development of services and providing them to customers through multiple smart channels. Therefore, SEDD pays attention to spreading the culture of quality among employees and informing them of all modern trends in the field of quality and institutional excellence. This falls within its belief of serving customers in the best possible way and linking the quality of services with institutional performance and achieving strategic goals.
From her side, Hanadi Al Muhairi, Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department at SEDD, said that the Department works according to the highest standards. Also, it is one of the basic tools to achieve the vision of the Department, one of its main objectives is to develop services provided to customers and strategic partners and adopt best practices in procedures, quality systems and institutional excellence.
Al Muhairi also praised the efforts of all employees and their keenness to provide terms and conditions for achieving quality practices in the various sections, and their commitment to accomplish the tasks required in this regard. Likely, she said that SEDD Chairman always call for ensuring the continuity of quality system and providing the latest training techniques for employees, to contribute to achieving its the goals in offering the best possible service to customers.
Moreover, Al Muhairi explained that the standards for obtaining ISO certificates is crucial for institutional development to reach excellence, and to provide high quality services that targets customers happiness. Also, she illustrated that the periodic review of certification standards translates into reality the successful strategic policy set by the Department's management.
