SCC reviews key issues at conclusion of 3rd session

Sharjah24 : The Sharjah Consultive Council's (SCC) seventeenth session concluded the third regular session of the tenth legislative term on Thursday. The Chairman of the SCC, Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, chaired the meeting.
The session began with an inquiry from Council member Suhail Salem Al Kaabi to the Sharjah City Municipality about the planned construction of a building for the Sharjah Driving Institute and the reasons for not having completed the building despite His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's orders in 1992 and the Sharjah Government's full support.

Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, confirmed that, with His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah's directives and blessings, Sharjah City Municipality signed a partnership agreement with the Emirates Driving Institute on 06/22/2017 to manage and operate the Sharjah Driving Institute, with the institute's new launch at the beginning of 2018, and that it has begun implementing many started procedures to develop the institute’s building that is expected to be completed on 8/8/ 2022.

Following the Director General of Sharjah Municipality's detailed answer, the council   assessed the most prominent Issues on its agenda and the closing ceremony of the third regular session of the tenth legislative term began with a speech by the Council's Chairman, Ali Mehd Al-Suwaidi, who highlighted the Council's accomplishments. 

He praised the Council members for their honest efforts, professionalism, and exceptional success, and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
