Sharjah24: The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) concluded its participation in the 29th edition of the Arabian Travel Market, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Center from May 9 to 12, and brought together a staggering number of the most prominent institutions, houses of expertise and stakeholders in the travel and tourism sectors.
SCTDA chaired the Sharjah’s pavilion participating in the exhibition, which included 24 entities with the participation of 7 government agencies and 17 other entities from tourism, travel and hotel companies in the private sector in Sharjah, Where SCTDA highlighted during its participation the strategies and plans of Sharjah to enhance global confidence in the local tourism market during the stages of recovery from the pandemic.
Taking this topic forwards, His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, affirmed that the emirate’s successful participation in the “Arab Travel Market 2022” exhibition by saying “The authority participated in this most prominent annual event, which is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the region in the travel and tourism sector , which witnessed a large turnout of visitors, participants and exhibitors, which reflect positive indicators of the recovery of the vital and important tourism sector, which is one of the main sectors supporting national economies worldwide and in the United Arab Emirates.
The authority's pavilion at the exhibition witnessed holding several meetings with dignitaries, officials and decision-makers in the tourism sector, in addition to organising a wide range of meetings and working sessions between offices and travel agencies.
