Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Council, affiliated to the Department of Sharjah Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs (SDSVA), received the suburb people on the first day of Eid Al Fitr, to organise a number of events.
The events held in front of the flagpole in the city of Dibba Al Hisn, were attended by His Excellency Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, Head of SDSVA, His Excellency Suleiman bin Jumah Al Yahyai, Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn City Council, council members and a large number of attendees and residents.
The reception event held by the city council is within the framework of the UAE recovery from the repercussions of Corona and the gradual return to life, to achieve community rapprochement under the motto (share the joy of Eid with us).
Dibba Al Hisn Council revived the Eid Al Adha initiative, which is one of the customs and traditions that it was keen to organise in compliance with the visions and plans of the SDSVA to enhance rapprochement between families, especially during the holidays and work to enhance social cohesion during the days of Eid and to teach families and their children Emirati customs in receiving Eid Al Fitr.
Al Suwaidi and the dignitaries received the citizens, exchanged congratulations on the arrival of the Eid and sat with them, in addition to distributing Eidiyas and toys to all the children.
During the reception, the popular bands that played songs and accompanied the occasion.
Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Head of SDSVA, stressed the importance of the suburban councils performing their roles during the days of Eid Al Fitr, to witness, with the first days, receiving citizens, families and their children and holding many events as well as distributing Eidiya and toys to children In a beautiful festive atmosphere.
Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi pointed out that these activities converge with the objectives of SDSVA in enhancing social cohesion and making families closer to each other, especially during holidays, and introducing happiness in the hearts of children.
His Excellency Sulaiman bin Jumah Al Yahyai, Chairman of Dibba Al Sahn City Council, pointed out the importance of this occasion as a social custom, called Fawala Eid, to consolidate social roles through reviving those customs.
