Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Cooperative Society implemented a community initiative entitled "Zayed Giving", which included distributing meals to a group of workers, with the aim of consolidating the principles of loyalty and belonging, strengthening ties of charitable work between the various segments of society, and providing a helping hand to the needy, on Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.
His Excellency Majid Salem Al Junaid, CEO of the Sharjah Cooperative Society, said this initiative, which is in line with the noble meanings of the holy month of Ramadan, comes to achieve the goals of cooperative work in the service of society.
He maintained that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, established an inspiring and unique model for humanitarian and charitable work locally and globally, and the UAE has become an example among countries in the approach guided by the wise leadership.
He added that Zayed Humanitarian Work Day is a national occasion that dedicates the approach to charitable work initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and today it has become a global approach rooted in the hearts of the Emirati people.
