Iftar was carried out in accordance with the annual custom of the Council celebrating the approaching Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which falls annually on the nineteenth of Ramadan, and in honour of a leader who inspired humanity in giving, love of goodness and humanitarian work.
The initiative is part of the community programmes and activities in which the Council participates in enhancing the value of social responsibility, through support and participation in the charitable aspect and the humanitarian work by providing Iftar meals to fasting people.
The Central Region Parents Council was keen to offer and organise Iftar by inviting a large number of beneficiaries to participate in the initiative, which strengthened the humanitarian aspect, that will be entrenched in the hearts of generations through its charitable initiatives during the holy month.
A number of members of the Central Region Parents Council participated in the Iftar that included the distribution of gifts and sweets to the participants, which expressed the spirit of the UAE in spreading the values of humanity by representing the principles of the founder of the state, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and followed his approach in serving the various segments of society.
