Sharjah24: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) announced that to continue developing the fields along Sheikh Mohammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi Street, traffic will be diverted in Saeed bin Obaid Al Jarawan Roundabout, without a complete closure of the roundabout, marking the start of converting the emirate’s squares into intersections controlled by permanent traffic lights, as one of the solutions to the traffic problems in the city.

Engineer Yousef Al Othmani, Chairman of the Authority, announced the start of converting Saeed bin Obaid Al Jarawan Roundabout into an intersection with traffic lights, at a cost of 45 million dirhams, which came with the support and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to improve the quality of infrastructure in Sharjah.

The work will start from Wednesday 13, 2022, without closing the roundabout completely, with priority given to the main roads in the roundabout’s area.
