Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, President of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for SHD, confirmed that the nineteenth session of SHD achieved exceptional success, both in terms of participation and attendance, thanks to the diverse activities that are suitable for all members of society, translating the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, that heritage remains a part of the national identity that links cultures, which was clearly reflected in the great turnout, exceeding 300,000 visitors.
The closing ceremony of the events was held at Sharjah Theater Days, in the presence of a group of senior guests and officials, and a large audience that was keen to participate in this event until its final hours.
For his part, Ahmed Salem Al Bairaq, Head of the Media Committee and Director of the Institutional Communication Department at the SIH, thanked journalists and media professionals from inside and outside the UAE for their efforts in covering the news of Sharjah’s heritage days, and conveying Sharjah’s vision and celebration of culture, art and heritage to the world, throughout the days and from various events and performance sites, which contributed to increasing interaction with this huge annual event, and boosted the number of attendees who raced to follow more than 500 diverse events.
