Sharjah 24: Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) celebrated the International Day of Happiness, which falls on March 20 of each year, organising a series of activities and events that reflected the importance of this day, spreading happiness and positivity in the hearts of employees and customers, embodying the leadership’s vision that the UAE is the best place to live, providing stability, luxury and quality of life.
The ceremony, which was held, on Tuesday, at the Chamber's headquarters, was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of SCCI, Maryam Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General of the Sharjah Chamber for the Support Services Sector, Abdulaziz Shattaf, Assistant Director General for the Communication and Business Sector, and a number of directors of departments, heads of departments and employees of the Chamber.
The event included a number of activities, events and competitions, and Ms. Kholoud Al Ansari was chosen to be the happiness ambassador at SCCI due to her commitment to work within a team spirit, providing a helping hand to all her colleagues, drawing a smile and spreading happiness among the employees. The event included honouring a number of inspiring and positive employees in work environment.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi stressed that the Chamber’s celebration of the International Day of Happiness stems from its keenness to implement the directives of the wise leadership in consolidating the concept of happiness within its programmes and services, considering that happiness is a human value that the UAE leadership is working to generalise and consolidate as a lifestyle for all members of the UAE community.
Al Awad pointed out that the Chamber is keen to contribute to supporting the efforts of the UAE to be one of the happiest countries in the world, by promoting, supporting and adopting initiatives that would instil the concept of happiness and positivity as a work culture among employees, as well as providing the best services to the business community in the Emirate.
Commenting on this, Abdulaziz Shattaf stressed that SCCI celebration of the International Day of Happiness comes within the framework of its commitment to launching initiatives aimed at achieving happiness among its employees and instilling a culture of positivity at the institutional level, among the private sector, customers and society in general.
Abdulaziz Shattaf pointed out that the UAE views happiness as a human goal and a right for all citizens and residents, according to comprehensive government plans and programmes towards achieving its desired goal in accordance with the national agenda, and thanks to the efforts and follow-up of the wise leadership that worked to create a positive and happy society.
