Sharjah 24: The International Food Technology Exhibition, the first edition, will launch at Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) Monday. The three-day event will focus on technological innovations in the food industry in various details and stages, and Sharjah’s position as a preferred destination for investors in various sectors.
A group of specialists will also chart the future features of the food scene and technological development in production and supply chains, and highlight Sharjah’s leading position in the sector.
The global event attracts more than 60 specialised companies from around the world and a group of speakers and specialised experts, in addition to specialised workshops, competitions, and an array of accompanying events, and will address a range new topics that aim at providing a better future to the sector such as modern technology, improving food system, diversity in the sector and health and sustainability.
Hussain Mohammed Al Mahmoudi, CEO of Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, stressed the importance of the exhibition, which supports all research and innovation aimed at finding and developing advanced technologies for food, and providing a safe haven for community members, within the national security strategy for food, especially in times of crisis and emergencies. He said that the development of the food and agricultural system with modern technologies is one of the main pillars of the UAE’s strategy aimed at finding solutions to the problems of agriculture and food production.
