Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council of the Sharjah Education Council (SEC) honoured 12 winners of the Holy Quran memorisation competition for people with disabilities.
Participation included 73 people with disabilities participants from 9 care and rehabilitation centres, in addition to the participation of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and branches in the Central Region, Kalba and Khorfakkan.
In his speech at the closing ceremony of the competition, Mohammed Rashid Rashoud Al Hamoudi, Chairman of the Council, praised the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for empowering people with disabilities in all fields, pointing out the importance of integrating the Council role in establishing support for parents’ councils in the Emirate of Sharjah instilling Islamic values.
Rashoud indicated that the competition comes in line with the strategic objectives of Sharjah Education Council.
Rashoud extended his thanks to the Sharjah Charity International, Dibba Al Hisn Branch, the main supporter of this competition annually and the great cooperation from the office of the Islamic Affairs Department in Dibba Al Hisn for their efforts in making this competition a success.
