Sharjah 24: Al Thameed Public Park, located in Al Madam in Sharjah, was opened to coincide with the 42nd afforestation week in the UAE. The park includes a number of service facilities, play and rest areas.
His Excellency Sultan Mohammed Mudaad Huwaiden, Chairman of Al Madam Municipality Council, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness's great interest in the people of Al Madam and for providing them with all the support and service facilities.
He thanked the Department of Public Works and Al Madam District Council and Al Madam Municipality for their appreciated efforts in constructing service facilities that would provide an outlet for the people of the area.
Salem Obaid Al Mayala, Director of Al Madam Municipality, explained that Al Thameed Public Park is the second public park in the area, and will serve the people to practice their hobbies and activities.
Al Mayala noted that the park includes a walkway, restrooms, with many trees and plants.
