Sharjah 24: Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence of Sharjah Education Council (SEC) praised achievements of the education sectors in different innovative fields, ensuring that education is at the forefront of the UAE most developed and innovative sectors.

Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence commended the keenness of the Emirates Schools Establishment, the Ministry of Education, and education councils and bodies all over the UAE for their efforts in promoting a culture of innovation in education, and urging the teaching and administrative staff and students to participate in the innovation month, and to put forward projects, research and school initiatives that develop innovation. 


Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence indicated that it supports all pillars aimed at making education an incubating environment for innovation towards a promising future. 

The Award sought to instill a culture of innovation in all categories, and assigned an innovation criterion, and made it included in other criteria. The Award encourages turning innovation into a lifestyle in the educational field, and it has endeavoured to spread innovative concepts and practices at the UAE level.

Alia Al Hosani, Director of Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, stressed that the Award focuses on the quality of educational innovations through the schools’ excellence and student innovations that contribute to highlighting the innovative educational environment in line with the leadership’s vision and national aspirations.

Alia Al Hosani stated that the Award attaches special importance to the innovation criterion. It also aims to graduate innovative and creative generations that contribute in their respective fields to enriching innovation aspects, and achieving a prominent position in the field of innovation.


Alia Al Hosani emphasised that innovation is one of the tools of the modern era, and the UAE aspires to reach excellence empowering generations to keep pace with technological developments, practicing innovation in aspects of their educational environments, and launching creative projects that make the Award a starting point.

Al Hosani explained that the Award confirms its solid position in the UAE innovation month, preparing a generation of innovators to achieve pioneering innovations towards a future of international and global achievements.
