Sharjah24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has concluded another successful season of the 48-day "Sharjah Shopping Promotions (SSP) " campaign, recording a considerable increase in the sales of the participating malls and stores, as well as lucrative profits for the retail sector and other business sectors.
While the volume of purchase throughout the campaign grew by 25%, the campaign witnessed an impressive increase in the number of shoppers exceeding 40% compared to last year.

The Sharjah Shopping Promotions was a wonderful opportunity for the emriate residents and visitors to enjoy the best winter in the world, along with amazing recreational and tourist events. Some 653 shops and stores took part in the event, offering attractive discounts of up to 75% on leading brands and various types of goods, besides valuable gifts and prizes, amid strict precautionary and preventive measures.

"We are pleased wit the overwhelming success of this edition of Sharjah Shopping Promotions, which culminated in the significant rise in the sales volume of the shopping malls and retail stores," said bdul Aziz Shattaf, Assistant General Manager for the Communications and Business Sector, SCCI. " This reflects the SCCI's vision and strategy to boost the economic movement and highlight the tourist attractions in the emirate, thanks to the availability of the infrastructure necessary to organize such events.

Jamal Said Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communications Department, General Coordinator of the Promotions, said: "Sharjah Shopping Promotions continues to achieve outstanding successes. This is attributed to the SCCI's innovative work mechanisms suitable for such recreational events in order to attract the largest possible number of shoppers and visitors,"

Bouzanjal explained that Sharjah Chamber embraces the concept of modern economy in festivals and shopping events to keep pace with international best practices in revitalizing the retail trade sector and other sectors, most notably the hotel, tourism and travel sectors.

The SCCI has expanded the range of activities of this year's edition of Sharjah Shopping Promotions, by sponsoring the 4th Al Bataeh Folk Festival as the the main event in the "Sharjah Shopping Offers" agenda, which concluded its activities last week. The closing ceremony witnessed the honoring of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its great support for the success of this distinguished event.
