Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) revealed the completion of the implementation of the fresh water network in the entire Al Murada 3 district of Al Siyouh, with a total amount of AED 7,583,337, including the value of works and materials, and the network’s length exceeded 23.8 km with diameters between 100 mm and 300 mm. Implementation of conformity with the latest international standards, which preserves the environment. The services were delivered at 100% to all customers who completed the delivery according to the rules in the authority.
Engineer Faisal Al Sarkal, Director of the Water Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, explained that the authority is continuing its efforts to enhance and strengthen water transmission and distribution networks in all regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, noting that the new water network projects come within the authority's plans and projects to provide water supplies in the Emirate of Sharjah and achieve comprehensive development in All sectors.
He pointed out that the authority is working on preparing a strategic plan to ensure the development of all sectors of its work, relying on the latest technology and on specialised national cadres, in conjunction with the huge economic, industrial and civilizational boom in the Emirate of Sharjah.
He added that work is currently underway on 15 water management projects, including new distribution networks as in Al Mawradah 3 and 4, including main transmission lines such as the (Al-Rahmaniya - Al-Azra) line, and among them replacing the old networks with new ones such as (Al-Ghafia - Al-Sabkha - Al-Qadisiyah - Al-Yarmouk - Semnan).
He stressed that the authority follows the latest technical specifications in the use of pipes for the water network, which are made of GRE, a material reinforced with glass fibers, conforming to the latest international specifications and health conditions used in fresh water transport pipes.
