Sharjah24: Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler's Office in Khorfakkan, inaugurated the activities of the second edition of the Sharjah International Youth Basketball Tournament (SIYBT), being launched Monday in Khorfakkan with the organisation of the Sharjah Sports Council.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council has expressed pleasure with the level of SIYBT’s participation at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre.

He has also highlighted the significance of the city of Khorfakkan to host the tournament, shedding light on its optimal infrastructure, sports facilities, and elements of tourist attractions that impress the participating delegations.

Concluding his statement, His Excellency added that the Tournament witnesses the participation of about 380 male and female players from 7 countries, in addition to the participating teams from the UAE, and about 150 members of the technical staff of the participating teams.
