In the presence of sponsors and media institutions, SDSVA announced that the festival will last for 3 weeks and will see a social, entertainment and cultural atmosphere in which families will meet with their children in several exciting events and different recreational activities that have been carefully selected during the period from December 9 to 31, 2021.
Sharjah Broadcasting Authority will provide live coverage and competitions to the public from the festival location at the park.
The press conference was attended by Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of DVA, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of DVA, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Ali Boughazyin from Sharjah Municipality, Abdullah Shuhail from Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), and Hassan Al Balgouni, Director of Corporate Communication Department at Sharjah Islamic Bank, Sponsors, journalists and media representatives.
In the beginning, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi valued the participation of 37 government departments, along with the sponsors and participants, and reviewed the new Dawahi Festival 10, which will be held in Al Qarayen Park 5 in Sharjah.
Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi called on families to quickly obtain the festival tickets, which will be available in more than one outlet at a symbolic price.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, stressed that the Institute is keen to annually participate in Dawahi Festival presenting rich cultural and heritage programmes that include artistic and narrative performances, workshops and training courses on handicrafts such as making dolls, ornaments, gypsum, the dyeing of clothes, sewing, and others.
Ali Boughazyin from Sharjah Municipality indicated the municipality is keen to support events by providing various services for Al Qarayen 5 Park.
Abdullah Shuhail conveyed SEWA’s greetings to the attendees and stressed that the Authority will not hesitate to provide various services for the festival to be an active partner, present annually, and supportive of Dawahi Festival.
Hassan Al Balgouni, Director of Corporate Communications Department at Sharjah Islamic Bank, indicated that the bank translates its policies and orientations in social responsibility to be an active partner in all community events, including Dawahi Festival, in compliance with its policies and strategies as a national bank.
