The ceremony, which was held at SDTPS headquarters, began with the playing of the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a documentary produced by the department’s media team. The documentary showed the first historical moments of the establishment of the union in 1971, the immortal path of the founding fathers in the history of the nation, and the stages of development of the state since the establishment of the union to the present time.
Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi toured the department to congratulate the employees on the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the state.
On this exceptional national occasion, Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and to Their Highnesses, Rulers of the Emirates, praying to the Almighty God to protect the UAE leaders, people and nation and to perpetuate the blessing of security and prosperity.
He pointed out that the UAE is now living in its brightest era thanks to the sacrifices of the founding fathers under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the insightful vision and sound directives of their loyal successors, Their Highnesses, the rulers of the Emirates who completed the process of construction, development and prosperity so that the United Arab Emirates will always remain at the forefront of nations and an exemplary destination for millions of people around the world.
Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi stressed the strategic importance of the 50 Principles as they chart a clear path for the country’s transition to a new phase of development at all levels, especially the first principle, which confirms that the main priority will remain strengthening the union of institutions, legislation, powers and budgets, and developing all areas of the country, which consolidates the union of the United Arab Emirates.
