Sharjah24: His Excellency Dr. Yousef Mohammed Al Serkal, Director- General of the Emirates Health Services, said that Commemoration Day is a day of heroism and redemption, a day in which we salute our brave martyrs who wrote with their blood the most wonderful stories of sacrifice and loyalty to the homeland and paid with the ultimate price their precious blood in defending the interests of their homeland.
Al Serkal underlined that the sacrifices and heroism of martyrs will remain alive in the heart of every Emirati, and a shining beacon in the history of our country, from which we draw inspiration from the highest meanings of sacrifice, redemption and heroism.
"This glorious occasion reflects the values and principles of giving and sacrifice in the heart of the Emirati people, the principles that laid by the founding fathers and has been emulated by the wise leadership that devotes all efforts to support the right in the fields of duty," added Al Serkal.
He noted that the directives of the wise leadership to set aside November 30 of each year as a martyr's day reflect the noble status that the martyrs enjoy and its keenness of the leadership to immortalize the martyrs of the homeland who wrote the most wonderful epics of heroism, redemption and sincerity.
Al Serkal added: "Commemorating such a glorious occasion affirms that the UAE people are standing behind their wise leadership under the banner of the nation and reflects the coherence between the leadership and the people and the pride of Emirati people in the martyrs of the homeland."
