Sharjah 24: Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, affirmed that the continuing support of the University of Sharjah, and the enlightened vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, laid the groundwork for the University's development into one of the leading educational institutions in terms of academic programmes at various levels and specializations, as well as upgrading the level of its graduates, facilities, and illustrious scientific initiatives.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, reaffirmed the continuing support for the University of Sharjah (UoS) and the enlightened vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, laid the groundwork for the University's development into one of the leading educational institutions in terms of academic programmes at various levels and specialisations, as well as upgrading the level of its graduates, facilities, and illustrious scientific initiatives.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed’s words came while attending, Sunday afternoon, a graduation and honouring ceremony of Emirati Future Leaders Initiative at the UoS’ Student Forum.

Sheikh Sultan congratulated the honourees on their graduation, emphasising the importance of the Emirati Future Leaders Initiative at the University of Sharjah in empowering young people, developing their strategic thinking, refining their personal experiences, developing their capabilities, knowledge, and skills, and preparing them for the labour market.

"The programmes that drive such an outstanding undertaking are the same programmes that underpin the Emirate of Sharjah's person-centred policy," He remarked. Many students who visited these institutions as youngsters and graduated from them have gone on to hold positions of leadership in a number of disciplines.

The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah concluded his speech by providing guidance to the graduates, "We advise our young men and women to work diligently and to benefit from this initiative, which provides them with useful science and skills necessary for their future roles as active members of society and distinguished leaders in national work."

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi congratulated the initiative's graduates (29 male and female students) from the University of Sharjah's faculties. Further, he was presented with a commemorative shield by the University of Sharjah in recognition of his attendance, honour, and sponsorship of the ceremony.
