Sharjah24: The Arab Beach Rowing Championship was concluded on Al Hamriyah Beach in Sharjah under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnessing remarkable Arab participation from 11 countries and exciting competition in all rounds of the championship.
The curtain was pulled down on the championship after organising 120 beach rowing competitions over an 18-hour , in which the Arab world champions presented amazing performances in the competitions.
Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) , accompanied by Abdul-Malik Jani, Vice-Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the championship, and Jumaa Obaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Hamriyah Club Council, Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Committee, crowned the winners of the Arab world champions in beach kayaking.
At the beginning of the honoring and ceremony, which was presented by the media figure, Islam Al-Shewi, the heads of the rowing sports federations, their representatives , and the heads of Arab delegations were honored.
Amid the joy of the participating teams with the success and distinction of the organisation, the provision of all services and capabilities, the cooperation of the organising committees, the contribution and the volunteer teams, the winners were crowned with gold, silver and bronze medals.
From fifteen competitions, Tunisia won 12 gold medals, and Egypt won 3 gold medals, While Egypt won 10 silver medals, Tunisia 3 silver medals, and Morocco 2 silver medals. In the bronze medals, the UAE won 6 bronze medals, Morocco 4 medals, Egypt 2 medals, Libya 1 medal, and two places were withheld.
