Sharjah 24: Al Subaihiya District Council met with Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) and the projects to discussed different vital issues related to road network maintenance, latest regulations and efficiency of the infrastructure system.
His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Al Ghawi Al Naqbi, Chairman of Al Subaihiya District Council, welcomed Engineer Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of SRTA, and stressed the importance of holding such meetings, which reflect the Council’s commitment within the district councils under the umbrella of Sharjah Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs (DSVA) and government agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah, aiming at integrating efforts to improve different aspects of life and serve the community.
Engineer Yousef Khamis Al Othmani stressed the importance of meeting with and listening to the views of Al Subaihiya District Council, aiming at integrating roles, working on implementing road and other projects by taking advantage of the residents’ feedback and their needs as priorities, as well as preserving the environment and improving the quality of the road network.
SRTA and DSVA held a discussion on a number of topics that were included on the meeting's agenda to inform SRTA of community observations regarding the incomplete roads.
SRTA and DSVA tackled the completion of internal roads paving in Al Subaihiya and the future plans to complete roads within the framework of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, directives to provide roads and other services for Districts communities.
