Sharjah24: The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Sports and Social Activities Department in the Department of Media and Public Relations, in cooperation with Friends of Cancer Patients in Sharjah, organised an awareness event for female members of the female component, on Tuesday, with the aim of enhancing women’s awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and motivating them to follow a healthy lifestyle.
The event, which was held at the Police Officers Club, in cooperation with a number of partners from the medical and cosmetic centers in the emirate, included an integrated programme to raise awareness of breast cancer, which began with a 400-meter walk for the pink caravan, followed by clinical examinations for a number of female employees under the supervision of a specialised team of pink caravan doctors and its experienced nursing staff.
The event also included counseling sessions and an educational lecture on the most important symptoms and physiological changes that occur in a woman's body and how to detect them early through self-examination, presented by a number of expert doctors with the aim of improving the quality of healthy life in the UAE community in general.
This comes in the interest of the General Command of Sharjah Police, to play the role entrusted to it to enhance the community and health awareness of driving workers, to prevent them from various diseases.
