Abdullah Khalifa Ya`rouf Al Sabousi, Head of Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department, and a number of department officials in the Department attended the inauguration ceremony.
The mosque was built at the benefactors and philanthropists’ expense as part of the "Mosques of Direct Line Followers 2" campaign, organised by the department in cooperation with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA).
The mosque sits on a total land area of 1385 square metres, including the musalla and service facilities, toilets, ablutions, and a residence for the imam. The musalla can accommodate 1200 worshipers.
He said that achievements and architectural buildings characterising Sharjah are the result of the directives, attention, care and support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who gives mosques the utmost attention, whereas mosques remain the main theme of Sharjah.
Abdullah Khalifa Ya`rouf Al Sabousi pointed that Al Samaha Mosque includes all the service facilities that make it a beacon for spreading religious awareness and serving all segments of society.
