Sharjah24: The city of Khorfakkan, the bride of the eastern coast, witnessed the meeting of the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS), discussing various topics related to federations and athletes, in the presence of the president of the federation and all members.
His Excellency Tariq bin Khadem, Vice Chairman of International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS), said that the city of Khorfakkan hosted the second meeting of the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation, after a two-year hiatus due to the Corona pandemic.
Commenting on this, Bin Khadem added in an exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24” that the meeting discussed the financial aspect and agreements between other federations, activating some world championships during the next two years, in preparation for the Olympics in France, in addition to empower the international players, contributing in preparing them to achieve positive results.
He has further extended thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and to Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), lauding their continuous support.
