SCC’s Board holds its meeting, discusses work priorities

Sharjah24: His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), affirmed that the Council plays its parliamentary role in addressing many topics and social issues in the Emirate of Sharjah, especially those related to supporting sustainable and comprehensive development plans in all fields through its sessions and the work of its committees.
He underscored the Council’s role in strengthening the strategic plans of the various departments and bodies of the Sharjah government, in addition to its different initiatives, with the aim of supporting the stability of families and ensuring decent life opportunities for all. 

He stressed that the start of the third session as part of the council's work for the tenth legislative term represents a continuation of the Council's vision, contributing in ensuring the quality of performance in all government institutions to achieve the directions that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

This came during the meeting of the Board of the Sharjah Consultative Council, which was held on Sunday morning under the chairmanship of His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, as part of its work for the tenth legislative term, at the council's headquarters in Sharjah.

During the meeting, being attended by a number of dignitaries, the attendees reviewed the various current preparations for the opening of the work of the Consultative Council for the third regular session of the tenth legislative term, and reviewed the agenda of the opening and first session.

The office body discussed the general issues that will be discussed during the third ordinary session of the tenth legislative term of the council, according to the council's work plan during the coming period, depending on the priorities that will be taken in studying and discussing various national issues.

They reviewed a number of proposals received from the Consultative Council and took appropriate decisions in their regard.
