Sharjah24: Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, visited pasture in the Suhaila and Zubaydah regions accompanied by Ahmed Saeed Al Muhairi, and Talib Rashid Al Musafri, members of Al Hamriyah Municipal Council. They were received by Mohammed Obaid bin Matar Al Tunaiji, Director of the Department’s Branch in the Central Region.
Al Tunaiji presented a detailed explanation of Al Shamal pasture to the visiting delegation during the introductory tour, explaining that the pasture is one of the largest pastures in the Emirate of Sharjah, located on an area of (110,50741.5 square meters), and 80 farms have been allocated within the pasture for livestock breeders.
He explained that the project consists of an administrative building, offices, stores, while another building dedicated for services and housing for workers, in addition to an integrated veterinary clinic that serves the pasture in order to provide veterinary services to the animals in the farms.
He indicated that the department has planted plants inside the pasture on an area of approximately 400,000 square meters, which is equivalent to 0.4 square kilometers.
At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation expressed its highest appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Emirate of Sharjah, for the unlimited keenness for protecting pastures in the Emirate of Sharjah, which contributes to limiting the spread of slums in the Emirate, wishing the Department more excellence in serving fields.
