Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police, represented by the Community Police Department, continues its virtual awareness programme, which was launched since the beginning of the school year 2021/22, with the participation of 18 public and private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah, and will continue until the end of next October.
The programme in compliance with the safety and prevention standards followed by educational institutions in the public and private sectors, and in the interest of students' safety, as it aims to support the efforts of educational institutions in creating a stimulating and safe educational environment for students and educational staff.
Lt. Col. Ahmed Al Marri, Director of the Community Police Department at Sharjah Police, confirmed that the programme targeted students, educational staff and parents, coinciding with the beginning of the new school year, given the importance of motivating students to return to school after a long absence, and encouraging them to start a regular and healthy new school year.
For her part, Captain Alia Abdelrahim Al Harmoudi, Director of the Community Awareness Branch of the Community Police Department, added that the programme includes a series of lectures and workshops that varied between psychological, awareness, security, and health, and run by a group of specialised and accredited lecturers. The programme also includes a section for open discussions and general inquiries and questions.
