Sharjah 24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) celebrated winning the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) in the category of government service sector for its pioneering project to implement a natural gas distribution network in various regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, which contributed to providing quality services to citizens and residents and all residential, industrial, commercial and environmental sectors.
Engineer Amna bin Hadda, Director of the Authority's Natural Gas Department, explained that winning the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award is a culmination of the Authority's efforts and desire to provide the best services to subscribers, as well as the Authority's pioneering project of the natural gas distribution network, the region's first of its kind, which was implemented in accordance with the Authority's plans, in compliance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler.
She expressed gratitude to the Authority's President for his encouragement and support in participating in the award, as well as to all staff and the award team.
Aisha Hussein Abdullah, Director of Strategy and Institutional Development, confirmed that the authority's win of the Sheikh Khalifa Award for Excellence in the Government Service Sector category at its nineteenth session in 2021 demonstrates the authority's technical and administrative excellence, as well as its commitment to continuing upgrading, continuous improvement, and competitiveness enhancement.
