Sharjah 24: Sharjah Children (SC), affiliated to "Rubu' Qarn" Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, organised a series of workshops in designing and manufacturing puppets and how to use them.
The workshops, in which 25 participants aged from 6-12 participated, are part of the "Puppet Theatre" programme.
The workshops introduced children to puppet theatre, given its importance in developing their audio-visual skills and stimulating their imagination by developing their creativity in manufacturing the puppets they prefer.
It explained the types of puppets, the materials used in their manufacture, in addition to the methods of manufacturing performance puppets with characters made of socks and gloves.
Marionette dolls were also introduced to the children. They are dolls made of various materials and moved by threads connected to a special motor for each doll. The children were able to learn how to manufacture them and the necessary tools for that.
