Sharjah 24: The Kalba Municipality (KM) notified workers and bachelors residing in the Mughaidir area of the deadline to vacate their homes and move to alternatives places designated in the industrial areas, no later than 17 September.

The work teams in the municipality started implementing the second phase of the plan to vacate the Mughaidir area of housing for bachelors and workers, in line with the directives to allocate the area within the regular family areas.

Ahmed Obaid Sareeh, Acting Head of Operations and Inspection Department at KM, said in statements to “Sharjah 24”, that the second phase includes the eviction of 34 houses out of 61 housing units that are the total number of bachelors’ homes in the area, while 27 homes were vacated in the first phase.

He pointed out that legal notices of eviction were distributed to the targeted housing in an extensive field campaign by work teams in the relevant departments in the municipality.

He added that residents and real estate owners should vacate their homes from workers and bachelors no later than September 17, as strict legal measures will be taken against those who do not comply with the decision after the deadline.
