AlKhalidiyah Council, SM discuss with a number of societal issues

This came during a reception by His Excellency Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, accompanied by Dr. Abdullah Al Qaidi, Assistant Director General for Institutional Support, to His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, at the headquarters of the municipality building.

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, was briefed on the various initiatives and projects offered by the suburb, with the aim of serving the people, as well as efforts to develop partnerships with relevant government institutions and agencies.

Al Marri stressed that Al Khalidiyah suburb is keen on concerted efforts, and always takes the initiative to serve the people, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The Director General of Sharjah Municipality indicated the municipality's keenness to enhance cooperation with Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, and to integrate roles in order to achieve the highest rates of community service.

After that, a number of themes on the agenda were discussed, which included discussing the most important services and needs, and examining aspects of cooperation between the council and the municipality to benefit the suburb and its public facilities.

The issue of abandoned houses in Al Khalidiyah suburb was discussed, and the means to follow up on them were discussed in order to preserve the security of the suburb, and to develop solutions and procedures in this regard, in addition to discussing the topic of regulating the mechanism of renting houses in the suburb.

During the meeting, Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council discussed the floating marina of Al-Khan, and ways to enhance security on it in order to preserve public facilities and its cleanliness, in addition to discussing Al-Khan Beach and regulating entry to it.
