Sharjah 24: At the Sharjah Police Officers Club, Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, received Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar, Chairman of Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), and Hazeem Mohammed Al Qamzi, Director of Racing Department at DIMC, on Wednesday.
Major General Al Shamsi, praised his guests for the success of the 30th edition of the 60ft Dhow Sailing Race "Al Gaffal", which was held last June, on Sir Bu Naair Island.
Al Shamsi received a shield of honour from Bin Meshar as appreciation of the efforts made by the Sharjah Police to the success of the 30th edition.
Al Shamsi praised the support of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council of the 30th edition of the “Al Gaffal” race, which is a continuity of the festival, founded by the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
