“Sharjah Youth” showcases youth’s achievements

Sharjah24: To continue the journey of building a well-educated and inspiring generation that represents the United Arab Emirates and the emirate of Sharjah on local and international levels and thrives towards its advancement, a virtual celebration titled as “Youth Day” was hosted by “Sharjah Youth” under "Rubu' Qarn" Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators in conjunction with the international youth day.
The celebration was hosted by two astonishing Sharjah Youth participants; Mohammed Al Balooshi and Abdullah Al Shamsi and the opening national anthem was delivered by the talented Sharjah Youth orchestra team.  

“Sharjah Youth” thrives to be the hand that provides the necessary support to the youth by embracing young talents and creating an environment that helps in shaping future generations because they believe that youth are the true wealth of our nation, said by Omar Al Midfa, Support Services Department Manager in Sharjah Youth during the celebration. 

Omar Al Midfa has also expressed his deepest gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators for the continues support that have led to the great achievements and development we witness from young generations today. 

During the celebration, a video was screened to the audience to showcase the significant youth’s achievements on regional and national levels during the years of 2020 and 2021. Moreover, “Sharjah Youth” graduates had the chance to inspire their peers with their stories and share with them their fruitful experience. 

One of the graduates “Ali Darweesh” have talked about his experience and how he transformed from someone who is very shy and scared of talking to others to someone who participates in local and international events to share his opinion and solve global problems. Ali’s motivation to challenge himself and develop on personal and social levels is what made him leave his comfort zone. Ali have participated in several events in the United States including the “Ambassadors of Knowledge” program in 2017 and “Our Ambassadors” initiative under the Ministry of Education in 2018. 

On the other hand, Ahmed Al Mutawa, another “Sharjah Youth” graduate have also shared his inspirational story with the audience. One of the inspirational messages he gave is that you should work toward the change you want to see because once you set your mind into something, you can do it.  Ahmed have talked about his passions and hobbies and how he balanced between doing multiple tasks in diverse fields like technology, robotics, history, and entrepreneurship. 

Ahmed have created a one-of-a-kind museum that combines history, arts, and technology to raise cultural awareness and invest in the hobby he loves. He has also won the first place in the National Robotics Championship in 2017 and Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth in 2019.
